The Proprietor of Mbarara Community Hospital (MCH), Dr. Nathan Karema wished to avail opportunities to Ugandans through provision of a Health Training Institute,
EVELYN HEALTH TRAINING INSTITUTE (EHTI).
EHTI would then benefit from Mbarara community Hospital which has modern facilities and there by offering Students an opportunity for hands on practice and experience.
It was for these reasons that the founders of EHT, sought to establish an institution that would provide opportunities to the girls and boys who complete Ordinary Level of education to be trained as Nurses or Midwives.
